As Labor Day approaches, Labor Day is a good day to remember that our highest standard of living in this country was achieved during a time where the rights of workers were respected. These rights did not come easily. They came as a result of the sacrifices of many before us who stood up for the right to bargain, for livings wages, for safe job sites and reasonable working hours. Labor Day is a day for remembering but also for asserting our fundamental beliefs in a just workplace.
